Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ
1What are the benefits of subscribing?
Subscribers enjoy unlimited continuous playback with no preview limits. Additional perks include auto-play to the next track, shuffle and repeat modes, and the ability to create and share unlimited personal playlists.
2Can the music be played in public spaces?
Yes. All music on SEEAT.live is AI-generated and suitable for public performance use in commercial environments. Unlike traditional streaming services, no separate PRO (Performing Rights Organization) licence is required.
3Who owns the copyright of AI-generated music?
The AI-generated music on SEEAT.live is produced and commercially licensed by SEEAT.app. Subscribers and free users are granted a non-exclusive licence to stream the music through the platform. Users do not acquire ownership of the underlying tracks or the right to redistribute them outside the platform.
4What should I do if I believe a track infringes copyright?
You can tap the Report button on the track's player or track list to flag a copyright concern. Alternatively, please contact us at service@seeat.app with the track name, the nature of the concern, and any supporting evidence. We take all copyright notices seriously and will investigate promptly.
5How is SEEAT.live different from other public performance music services?
Traditional commercial music services license human-created music and charge significant fees that include PRO royalty pass-throughs. SEEAT.live uses exclusively AI-generated music, which eliminates PRO licensing costs entirely and allows us to offer a far more affordable subscription while providing music purpose-built for commercial environments.
6Can paid members use downloaded tracks for commercial purposes?
Yes. Paid subscribers who download tracks through the platform may use them for commercial purposes, including advertising, video production, and business presentations. Free plan users may only stream music through the platform and are not granted a commercial use licence.
7How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account by visiting Account Settings and using the Delete Account option in the Danger Zone section. Typing DELETE to confirm will permanently remove your account, personal playlists, and all associated data — this action cannot be undone. If you have an active subscription, we recommend cancelling it first to avoid further charges. For assistance, contact service@seeat.app.
8Can I use SEEAT.live on multiple devices at the same time?
Currently, SEEAT.live supports single-device login only. If you sign in on a new device or browser, your previous session will be automatically signed out. This helps ensure fair usage and service quality for all users.
9How do I create a personal playlist?
In the My Playlists section on the home page, tap the "Create Playlist" button, enter a name and an optional description. New playlists are private by default — only you can see them. Once created, you can add tracks from any playlist on the platform, reorder songs with the up/down buttons, or duplicate a track within the list.
10Can I upload my own music to a private playlist?
Yes. Private playlists support audio file uploads. Open the playlist, tap "Upload Track", choose an audio file (up to 50 MB), enter a title and optional artist name, then accept the copyright disclaimer confirming the content is your original work. Playlists that contain user-uploaded tracks cannot be set to public, in order to protect copyright.
11Can I share a private playlist with someone else?
Yes. Open the playlist and tap the Share button to generate a shareable link. Anyone with the link can view the playlist and its tracks in read-only mode — no account is required. You can revoke the link at any time to stop sharing.
12Can I really play SEEAT.live music in my restaurant or cafe without paying local copyright societies (like MUST in Taiwan)?
Yes, absolutely. All music on SEEAT.live is generated from scratch by our proprietary, localized generative AI. Since these tracks are mathematical computations rather than pre-existing copyrighted recordings, they are 100% independent of traditional Collective Management Organizations (CMOs). For active paid subscribers, we issue a downloadable Digital Royalty-Free Certificate in your dashboard. You can print this out and keep it at your front desk to show compliance during unexpected copyright inspections.
13Why does it take up to 24 hours to generate my custom playlist?
Unlike low-quality synthesized background loops, SEEAT.live utilizes state-of-the-art deep learning models running on our dedicated local computing cluster to craft full-length, rich ambient audio tailored to your specific venue vibes. To ensure studio-grade audio, each track is generated individually in our secure queue, which typically takes up to 24 hours depending on server load.
14If I cancel my subscription, can I still play the songs I previously downloaded?
No. Your license to publicly perform the music in your venue is tied to an active paid subscription. If you cancel your membership, your license to play SEEAT.live music in your commercial venue expires at the end of your billing cycle. Continued public performance of the files without an active subscription will be considered unauthorized.
15Who is eligible for the music license certificate?
All active subscribers and trial users can download a music license certificate at no extra cost. Go to Account Settings → Music License Certificate, enter your business details, and the certificate is generated instantly with a QR code that inspectors can scan to verify your subscription status in real time.
16Why is the in-app subscription price different from the website price?
When subscribing through the iOS or Android app, Apple and Google charge a platform service fee (typically 30%), which is included in the in-app price. Subscribing directly at seeat.live gives you the same Premium features at a lower price. To subscribe at the web price, visit the Pricing page in any browser.
17How do I download the music license certificate?
All subscribers (including trial users) can download their music license certificate from Account Settings → Music License Certificate on the SEEAT.live website (web browser required — this is not available in the mobile app). You will be asked to enter your business name, branch name (optional), and address the first time.
